You can dropship coir doormats through specialist suppliers or sell printed mats through POD providers. Choose the material for the actual entrance first: a covered porch, an exposed doorstep and an indoor landing need different surfaces. Then confirm door clearance, print limits and the delivery cost of one mat.
A funny message may attract the first click. The mat still has to sit where the buyer needs it, let the door open and arrive with a readable print. Those practical details give the customer a reason to keep it.
The supplier pages were checked on October 13, 2026. This is a document-based guide. The example dimensions and costs are hypothetical; we have not tested these suppliers’ mats.
01
Compare the materials and the supplier routes
“Doormat” covers several constructions. Coarse coir fiber and a printed textile surface do not have the same feel, artwork possibilities or exposure limits. Read the exact SKU instead of applying the category name to every entrance.
| Route | What to investigate | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Specialist coir and all-weather ranges | Artsy Mats | Its US dropship offer describes contiguous-US delivery; coir is described for covered entrances |
| Printed-to-order coir or other mat constructions | Customat Designs | Confirm the product, artwork process and destination-specific shipping |
| POD designs on catalog mats | Printify’s door-mat range | Check the exact material, care, print provider and country coverage |
Artsy distinguishes coir from an all-weather PVC-loop construction. That is a useful material distinction, not an independent verdict that every product will tolerate your customer’s conditions. Ask about the exact exposure and care limits.
For example, a mat under a covered porch has a different job from one continually exposed to rain. An indoor decorative mat may be bought for its print rather than for scraping muddy boots. Choose the use you can explain and support, then compare equivalent supplier offers.
For broader floor-covering choices, use the rug dropshipping guide. A small entrance mat should not inherit a room rug’s dimensions, function or freight assumptions. For a wider assortment, use the home decor guide to compare the entrance mat with other products in a home range.
Check the doorway before promising a fit
Measure thickness as well as the footprint. Imagine a door has 14mm of clearance at its lowest point and the proposed mat is 18mm thick. There is 4mm of interference. The mat can fit the floor area perfectly and still stop the door from opening freely.

Use the actual thickest part of the mat, including its backing or raised border. Door sweep, threshold shape and an uneven floor can also matter. Publish the product thickness and ask the buyer to check their own clearance; do not claim universal doorway compatibility.
Width and length need units and a clear orientation. If the listing photograph places the mat outside, make sure that placement agrees with the documented construction. A styled image cannot establish weather suitability or slip performance.
02
Design for a coarse surface and a real name
Coir has texture. Fine strokes, tiny letters and closely spaced shapes may not reproduce like a smooth paper print. A large, simple design is a sensible starting point to sample, but the selected print process determines what works.

Ask for the artwork area, accepted files and design limits. Customat describes uploaded artwork printed and shipped to the customer; confirm the approval workflow for your selected mat.
- Try the longest supported name. “The Li Family” and a long surname may need different type sizes. Set a text limit, proof requirement or manual review rule before accepting orders.
- Bind text to the production file. Keep the entered name, approved proof, file version and order ID together. After a spelling correction, obtain confirmation that the printer received the new file and can still stop production.
- Check the printed surface. Approve readability on an actual mat. Keep sample photographs separate from mockups: a crisp digital proof does not establish the result on coir.
03
Approve the mat and the parcel together
Order the exact material and size you plan to sell. Open the arriving parcel as a buyer would, then inspect the print, edges, backing and condition after unpacking.
| Observation | Why it matters | Follow-up |
|---|---|---|
| Surface and lettering | Texture can change small details | Adjust the artwork or choose a different construction |
| Backing and edges | The underside and raised edges affect use | Compare them with the specification and care instructions |
| Shedding or loose material | A sample may need normal preparation | Record ordinary observations; ask the provider what is expected |
| Curling, folds or damage | Packing can affect arrival | Ask how the exact mat is packed and how faults are remedied |
Follow the stated cleaning instructions. Do not soak or machine-wash a construction simply because another supplier’s mat permits it. Likewise, an ordinary sample inspection does not certify “non-slip,” waterproofing or long-term outdoor durability.
Record the packed length, width, height and weight. A heavy coir mat and a thin printed mat can need different protection and carry different delivery costs, even when their flat dimensions match.
04
Work out what a single mat can earn
For an illustration, suppose a mat sells for $29. The goods cost $11, freight is $7, payment costs are $1.20 and you allow $2 for remedies. That leaves $7.80 before advertising, taxes and overhead. None of these figures is a supplier quote.
A $3 higher shipping charge would reduce that remainder to $4.80. A small difference in delivery can therefore change whether the offer can support paid acquisition. Calculate the actual order rather than relying on a percentage markup on the mat alone.
| Quote format | Compare this total |
|---|---|
| Item price plus shipping | Mat, printing, any preparation fee, packing and destination freight |
| Delivered dropship price | Which regions, service, quantity and exceptions are included? |
| Personalized order | Add the real proof or preparation work and a possible remake |
Artsy’s US dropship description says shipping within the contiguous United States is included. Compare that offer with another provider’s item-plus-freight quote on the same basis. Do not add shipping twice to an inclusive quote, or omit it from an item-only one.
Quote a two-mat order separately if you want a bundle. Two mats may move the parcel into another weight band. A layering rug may have specific ordering conditions. Neither “bundle” nor “add-on” guarantees free extra freight.
05
Make mistakes and return requests manageable
Match the evidence to the problem instead of asking the buyer to repeat the whole order history.
| Problem | Compare these records |
|---|---|
| Misspelled name or different print | Customer entry → approved production file → received mat |
| Door catches or footprint is wrong | Delivered thickness and dimensions → published specification |
| Material unsuitable for the entrance | Documented exposure limits → listing and promised use |
Agree fault evidence, approval deadlines and the replacement route before selling. If the listing omitted a material restriction, correct it while arranging the customer response. Personalization can change change-of-mind terms; it does not automatically remove fault remedies or customer rights. The personalized-product guide explains the approval process.
For an AIDrop mat inquiry, send material, size, artwork and destination. State covered or exposed use and whether orders contain customer names. That gives sample and packing coordination a usable specification. Send your specifications to AIDrop.

Questions about selling doormats
Can every coir mat be sold for an exposed doorstep?
Check the selected product’s documented use. Some coir offers are described for covered entrances. Do not apply another material’s weather claims to it.
Does a US printing location guarantee delivery to every US address?
No. The offer may limit territories, services or remote areas. Confirm the buyer’s destination and the exact parcel before promising coverage or a delivery date.
Should personalized names go straight into automatic production?
Only after you have a reliable text-to-file process and clear supported limits. Hold entries that need clarification or a revised proof. Confirm that the approved file, not an earlier version, reaches the printer.
Is a mat that fits the floor guaranteed to fit the door?
No. Check thickness, backing, border and the door’s lowest clearance. Footprint and opening clearance answer different questions.
