CJdropshipping, EPROLO, AliExpress with DSers Basic, Printful, Printify and Trendsi offer ways to source or fulfill orders without a required monthly supplier subscription. They cover different needs: general merchandise, original printed designs and ready-made fashion. You still pay for the goods, shipping and applicable extras.
For a store testing its first products, avoiding a recurring fee can be sensible. The difficult part is knowing what remains usable after signup. A free catalog account, a short trial and a free plan that processes orders are three different offers.
The options below were checked against provider information on September 19, 2026. This is a comparison of published capabilities and terms, not a claim that we purchased or tested products from every supplier.
01
Which free supplier fits your store?
Start with the product you intend to sell. A print-on-demand service is useful when your artwork is part of the offer; it will not supply an existing boutique dress. A sourcing platform offers more product variety, but that variety also means more variation in specifications, stock and shipping origin.
| Option | Suitable starting point | Free access and important exclusions |
|---|---|---|
| CJdropshipping | General products and sourcing requests | Core access without a required monthly subscription; product, transport and applicable warehouse or extra services cost money |
| EPROLO | General catalog sourcing and fulfillment | No core membership fee; goods, shipping and optional branding services need their own budget |
| AliExpress + DSers Basic | Selecting individual marketplace sellers | DSers has a free ordering tool; the AliExpress seller supplies the goods, and key automatic updates are excluded from Basic |
| Printful | Apparel and other products carrying your design | No required subscription or minimum order; production, shipping, tax and applicable extras are charged |
| Printify | Comparing print providers for original designs | Free platform plan; each product/provider combination has its own production and delivery costs |
| Trendsi | A ready-made fashion assortment | Free plan includes up to 500 product listings; product, shipping and return conditions still apply |
These are starting points for different stores, rather than a quality ranking. For broader supplier selection beyond free access, our dropshipping suppliers guide covers the relationship between product sourcing, fulfillment and the store’s customer promise.

General products: CJ, EPROLO and AliExpress
CJdropshipping: sourcing with several fulfillment arrangements
CJ can be useful when you need a general catalog or want to submit a sourcing request for a specific item. It combines sourcing and order fulfillment, so a merchant can discuss the product and its delivery arrangement within the same service.
The cost depends on how you use it. Buying an available catalog item is different from sending your own stock to a warehouse or arranging custom packaging. CJ’s service fee schedule lists storage, handling and other services under particular conditions. A no-monthly-fee account does not make all of those services free.
Its warehouse locations also do not mean every item is stocked near every buyer. Compare the exact variant, available origin, processing time and delivery route. A China-origin order and an order fulfilled from existing US stock can have different prices and timelines, even when the product image looks identical.
EPROLO: general fulfillment with optional branding
EPROLO states that its core platform has no monthly membership fee and charges for products and shipping. It is a candidate for merchants who want catalog sourcing and fulfillment before taking on a fixed supplier subscription.
Branding is a separate choice. Custom labels, packaging and other additions can change the cost and preparation needed for an order. Request a quote for the version you will actually sell: the plain item and the branded item are different offers, even if they share a product photograph.
For international sales, use the item’s quoted shipping origin and destination service. A supplier serving several countries does not make a single delivery estimate suitable for all of them. Start with the market you intend to advertise to and work outward once the order process is understood.
AliExpress with DSers Basic: the seller and the software are separate
AliExpress connects you with individual sellers. DSers helps manage that buying workflow; it does not manufacture, inspect or physically ship the products merely because an order passes through its app.
The DSers pricing comparison lists a free Basic plan, including bulk ordering and order-status features. Automatic price updates and automatic inventory updates are not included in Basic. That distinction matters if you expect a free integration to keep every listing current without supervision.
This can suit a small, deliberately selected assortment where you can maintain prices and availability. For a large catalog, the manual work and risk of stale listings may outweigh the subscription saving. Assess the particular AliExpress seller’s product, route and remedy terms separately from the software plan.
03
Original designs: Printful and Printify
Printful: no required subscription to fulfill designed products
Printful is relevant when you want to sell a graphic shirt, embroidered item or another supported product carrying your design. Its cost explanation says there are no required setup fees, monthly fees or order minimums. You pay the product and printing cost, shipping, applicable taxes and extras such as embroidery digitization when relevant.
Production is part of the order. Keep it separate from transit when judging whether the customer’s expected delivery is achievable. A delivery route cannot start until the item has been produced and released.
This is a useful way to test a design without buying a finished batch. It still requires a sample budget and enough margin for the garment, decoration, shipping and customer service. Free design tools are helpful preparation; a mockup does not demonstrate the finished print or fit.
Printify: choose the product and the provider together
Printify’s free plan includes five stores per account and unlimited product designs. The platform connects merchants to print providers, allowing you to compare supported products and production options without a required monthly plan.
Compare more than the lowest displayed base price. A shirt from one provider may have a different available size range, production location or shipping charge from another option. The meaningful comparison is the finished order delivered to your customer’s country.
Paid plans can reduce eligible product costs, but their value depends on what you actually sell and in what quantities. An advertised maximum discount is not the saving on every order. Use your selected products in the calculation before upgrading.
If your business centers on original designs, our print-on-demand supplier comparison goes further into production choices and fulfillment differences.
04
Ready-made fashion: Trendsi
Trendsi is a more focused option for a store selling ready-made clothing. Its current platform information lists a free tier for up to 500 products and connections with Shopify and TikTok Shop. Product and shipping charges remain payable.
Shipping origin makes a material difference. Trendsi currently quotes delivery within the US of 2–5 business days for US products and 5–10 business days for overseas products. Those estimates do not apply automatically to every international destination. Its dropshipping service now covers more than 25 countries, with destination-specific availability and terms.
The return policy deserves a separate look. The detailed Trendsi return rules limit its return service to US orders. Eligible requests must start within seven days of receipt, and ordinary return shipping is the customer’s responsibility; exchanges are not accepted. Some categories are final sale.
That makes Trendsi a different proposition for a US boutique and a store selling abroad. The free plan may work for either, but the second store needs its own answer for customer returns. Do not budget international selling on the assumption that the US return arrangement follows the parcel overseas.
05
Free browsing and free trials are different offers
You will find other names in lists of “free suppliers.” Some are legitimate services whose free access covers only research. They can help you find products, but they do not meet the same no-subscription operating requirement as the options above.
For example, Syncee’s pricing documentation describes its free plan as marketplace browsing. Preparing a selling catalog through Syncee Marketplace requires a paid subscription. That is a useful discovery account, rather than evidence that a store can import and run its catalog free indefinitely.
A free trial has a different limit: time. It lets you investigate a paid service before billing begins. The first invoice, renewal period and cancellation procedure belong in your comparison from the start, especially when an attractive monthly equivalent requires an annual payment.
Use the plan’s feature table to answer one concrete question: can this account perform the work your first order needs after the trial ends? Include importing the product, receiving stock changes, placing the supplier order and returning tracking. A free installation badge alone does not answer that question.
06
Compare the cost at your expected order volume
The cheapest supplier subscription can coexist with the more expensive order. To see why, compare two hypothetical arrangements for the same approved product and equivalent service:
- Option A has no monthly fee and costs $18 per delivered order.
- Option B costs $30 a month and $16.80 per delivered order.
The paid option saves $1.20 on each order. Dividing the $30 fee by $1.20 gives a break-even point of 25 orders a month.
| Monthly orders | A: no subscription | B: $30 subscription |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | $180 | $198 |
| 25 | $450 | $450 |
| 50 | $900 | $870 |
At ten orders, keeping the free arrangement saves $18. At fifty, the paid arrangement saves $30. These figures compare only the stated supplier and delivery costs; they are not profit forecasts or actual supplier prices.
The calculation is valid only when you are comparing comparable orders. A lower quote that uses a slower route, excludes packaging or provides a different item cannot be treated as a simple $1.20 saving. Our supplier quote comparison guide shows how to line up those inclusions before comparing totals.
Manual work can change the decision too. If the free plan requires frequent stock corrections, record the time those corrections actually take. Use your own observed workload and cost of time rather than assuming that every paid automation feature will save money.
07
Make the first supplier decision with one real order
Begin with one item, its intended customer country and the actual shipping service you plan to offer. Order a sample or test shipment and record the product received, packaging, dispatch information, carrier events and final charge. The result gives you something concrete to compare with the listing and quote.
Keep the supplier’s order terms with that record. If a product price changes after your customer has paid, you need to know whether the supplier quote is still valid. If an item is unavailable, you need a route for cancelling or approving a suitable alternative. Those details are easier to resolve before a real customer is waiting.
Also fund the order itself. “Pay when you sell” describes when a supplier charge arises; it does not ensure your payment provider has released the customer’s money to your bank. Samples, advertising, refunds and the gap before payouts still need cash.
Once you have a satisfactory sample and a workable order process, compare the free tier against your expected workload. Stay with it while the limitations are manageable. Upgrade for a specific capability or a demonstrated cost saving, rather than because a growing store is supposed to have a paid plan.

Common questions about free suppliers
Can I start without buying a batch of stock?
Many dropshipping and print-on-demand arrangements let you pay for individual orders instead of buying finished stock in bulk. Samples, custom materials, optional warehousing or production services can have different requirements. No bulk purchase does not mean no startup spending.
Does a free supplier plan include free shipping?
Usually the shipping charge is separate or included in the item’s quoted delivered price. Compare the total for the exact destination, service and number of items. A product advertised with free shipping can still have a higher overall price than one with a separate freight charge.
Are automatic stock updates included?
It depends on the service and plan. DSers Basic is a concrete example where automatic inventory updates are excluded. Other services include sync features but still require correct variant mapping and a process for failed or delayed updates.
Should I choose a free supplier or a paid supplier?
Choose the arrangement that provides the right product and service at an affordable total cost. Free access is particularly useful while order volume is uncertain. A paid plan becomes worth considering when its specific capabilities or verified per-order savings justify the fee.
